Mayon Volcano Surprise Steam Eruption


Mayon Volcano is one of the best tourist attractions due to its perfect cone shape and was in fact once tops the list of the best wonders of the world. Ambitious mountaineers get to Albay, Bicol to climb this very challenging volcano. The fastest of which was able to reach the crater in just over 13 hours. At 0730 AM local time, it has erupted.

Visiting Cagsawa Ruins

The Cagsawa Ruins is what remains of a church that was overrun by lava during the massive eruption of Mayon Volcano at Daraga, Albay way back 1814. No matter how its destructive past may be, what remains of Cagsawa is now a tourist attraction as it provides an exciting scenery of a church belltower with Mayon Volcano at its background.

And when you are at this province there is no way for you not to go to Mayon because while along the Maharlika Highway, this Volcano, being wide with 2500+MASL height and with its perfect cone, there is no way for you not to check this out.

Bicol Roadtrip

It is early morning of December 27. I almost had no sleep yet for at least two nights due to the Christmas celebration, the outreach program and the Talamitam climb last 26th. And the excitement which entails the upcoming Bicol roadtrip adds to it. Then dawn of the 27th came. 3:00 A.M., wake up time. By 4:00 AM, It is time to hop on to the accelerator and start the 516-km x 2 of road ahead of us to discover for the first time what Bicol can offer us.
